About Us

The Bioengineering at McMaster Society (BEAMS) was formed in 2003 to provide the opportunity for students interested in how engineering complements
medical applications to explore the possibility of research, education, and/or employment in this exciting field. This is accomplished through organized seminars,
industry speakers, information sessions, and social events
BEAMS includes both graduate and undergraduate students from ALL engineering streams including (but not limited to) Electrical and Computer
Engineering Biomedical Engineering program and Chemical Engineering Bioengineering program. Other non-engineering students in related fields are also
invited to participate. The club also has the active involvement of McMaster faculty, representatives from industry, medicine, and the community.
